The Old Theatre has an extensive programme for its youngest audience – meetings with music, literature, films and guest theatre performances. But a concert of lullabies prepared especially for children by eminent artists was a unique event. Search in your Dreams combined beautiful lyrics by Lublin’s Włodzimierz Wysocki and jazz rhythms played by Marek Napiórkowski with a sparse vocal interpretation by Natalia Kukulska. On top of that, to make the tiny listeners comfortable, theatre seats were replaced by a platform scattered with cushions and pouffes. Those who gave in to the dreamy feel of the lullabies and fell asleep were not disturbed until the end of the performance.
The effort of the artists was appreciated not just by the children. The Search in your Dreams record by Natalia Kukulska and Marek Napiórkowski won the 2019 Fryderyk music industry award for album of the year in the children’s and young adult music category.
